New York Fashion Week: Rebecca Minkoff

Drop a beat. The designer’s fall/winter presentation was one part rap concert, one part fashion show. Models stomped the runway wearing textured fabrics in bold jewel tones, while Theophilus London provided the sound track and his trademark swagger.

New York Fashion Week: Rebecca Minkoff

We’re not ashamed to admit it: The Desert Love collection of Morning After innovator and mother-to-be Rebecca Minkoff had us hot and bothered in all the right ways. Burnout prints, sun-kissed earth tones, crochet-top dresses, and a few brilliant neon bursts (hello, orange blazer) warmed things up, but The Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine brought serious heat to the runway.

Must-Have Accessories:
An electric coral purse, color-block wedge platforms, and plunging V-front heels.
Front-Row Faces:
More CW starlets than we could recognize (seriously, how old are we?).
Sound Track:
Courtesy of DJ Mia Moretti; DC ed favorites: Florence + the Machine’s cover of “Addicted to Love” and a foreign language rendition of “Sweet Dreams.”
