New York Fashion Week: Nanette Lepore

Sorry, Malibu Barbie, this collection’s more suited for fun-loving little sis Skipper. Solid neon frocks and separates, sometimes contrasted by pastels, gave off a flirty, confident vibe. Wearable and completely free of black, the line made even puss-faced editors smile.

Front Rower Who Definitely Won’t Be Wearing the Line but Was Fun to See Anyhow: Longtime friend of Lepore Stanley Tucci.
Detail That Would Make Christian Louboutin Jealous:
Neon soles on every pair of flats and platforms.

The cheery live music by fluorescent-outfitted harpists, violinists, and more of the Sam Bisbee band (download two free tracks from the show online at sambisbee.com/nanettelepore).
